Beverly A. Smith, 67, of Canton, PA passed away on June 20, 2012, at Robert Packer Hospital.

Beverly Arlene was born on May 6, 1945 in Blossburg.  She was a daughter of the late James E. and Lucille (Boyce) Turner.  After graduating from Canton High School, Beverly married Joseph E. Smith on June 12, 1964 in the Calvary Alliance Chapel in Canton.  She and Joe shared 34 years together and raised four children before his passing on June 8, 1998.

Family was most important in Beverly’s life; she enjoyed family gatherings and cherished her grandchildren.   She attended Canton’s Calvary Alliance Chapel and enjoyed watching TV game shows, a favorite was “The Price Is Right”.

Surviving are her children, Annette Griffin and Randy Smith both of Canton, Tammy Aeppli of Williamsport and Anthony “Tony” Smith of Canton, 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; four siblings, Richard (Kathy) Turner of Canton, Donnie (Debbie) Turner and Gary (Sue) Turner all of Virginia and Sharon Newman of Colorado.

She was predeceased by her husband Joseph E. Smith.

Calling hours are 10 – noon Saturday, June 23, at Pepper Funeral Home, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton.  Rev. Duane Taylor will officiate her memorial service at noon. Burial will be private at a later date.  Those who wish may make a memorial in Beverly’s name to the Calvary Alliance Chapel, 12676 Route 14 Canton, PA 17724 or to the American Diabetes Assoc., P.O. Box  4383 Bethlehem, PA 18018.

There are no words to define such a wonderful lady. Bev was the most caring women I had ever met.. her Love for her family, friends and her puppies was unmatched,, What you seen you got.. There was no fake in Bev,, she was true and true thru and thru,, She taught me alot in my Christian Walk, and I know now that she is with Christ no more pain no more fear nothing, but total peace, Bev you will be missed my prayers are with the family and close friends,, God has one of the most beautiful Angels now in Heaven with him.
