Frank “Tot” Calvert, 90, of Canton, PA and formerly of Ralston, passed away on Friday July 13, 2012 at Towanda Memorial Skilled Nursing Unit.
Born on June 23, 1922 in Williamsport, “Tot” was a daughter of the late Drew and Alice (Grenell) Berry.
She was employed for many years at Canford Manufacturing in Canton until retiring. Tot also worked as cook for the Wheel Inn Club in Roaring Branch. She will be remembered as a hard working, friendly person who loved her family. Tot especially enjoyed times shared with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the former Eastern Star in Ralston and attended Ralston’s St. Aloysius Catholic Church.
Surviving are her husband Richard Calvert; children, Sharon (Max) Micklitsch of Ralston, Glen (Roxanne) Davis of Michigan and Stanley (Denise) Kolanda of Virginia; step-children, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husbands, Charles Kolanda and Guy Davis; a daughter, Martha Bailey and siblings, Robert Berry and Martha Calvert.
The family invites friends to attend a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, at Pepper Funeral Home, 578 Springbrook Dr in Canton, with Deacon Bill Graham officiating. There will be no calling hours. A private family burial will follow in the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery in Cascade Twp., Lycoming County. Her family suggests those who wish may make a memorial in Tot’s name to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St, Williamsport, PA 17701.
