Darla “Dart” Rockwell, 62, of Canton, PA passed away unexpectedly Monday, November 27, 2017.

Darla Jean, “Dart” to family and friends, was born June 30, 1955, in Sayre, PA, a daughter of the late Maxwell Harry and Eleanor Marie (Davidson) Rockwell.  She was employed by Canton’s V.F.W. Post 714 and the Dollar General Store.  Dart was a member of Canton’s WOTM 981, V.F.W. 714 Auxiliary and Red Run in Roaring Branch.  She enjoyed doing many things in life, but special times were spent with her children and grandchildren.  Dart was the glue of her family; hardworking, honest and true to her own self.   She saw the good in everyone and was blessed with many special friends.  She also enjoyed her privacy, loved listening to all kinds of music, gardening, caring for her house plants and playing tickets.
She is survived by three children; Kelby Rockwell (Rosie Short) of Trout Run, Jessica Rockwell Phelps and Tiffany Rockwell (Randy Baker) all of Canton, five grandchildren who were the light of her life; Audrey, Coldelia, Mallory, Rayden and Gauge, her sister; Pam (Pat) Dowling of Canton, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother and sister; Darrell Rockwell on Oct. 15, 2004 and Dawn Crandall on Apr. 13, 2009.
Calling hours are noon – 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, at Pepper Funeral Home, 578 Springbrook Dr., Canton.  Mr. Dennis Vermilya will officiate a memorial service to celebrate Dart’s life at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, consider a memorial to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St. Williamsport, PA 17701.  Share memories and condolences at www.pepperfuneralhomes.com

I got to know Darla when delivering milk to the DG. Walking in this morning to say Hi Darla, like I did every Monday and Wednesday and she wasn’t there seemed surreal. Sad I won’t be seeing her again. My heart felt sympathy to her family. Fly high with the angels Darla.

My sincere thoughts and prayers to all of the family. I am very grateful to of known Dart for many years as a friend and co-worker. We shared so many good times and laughs together both at work and out of work. I can here her now saying, "Stop crying and feeling sad for me"; then she would give me the usual greeting that we both shared with one another, lol. What I can say is that anyone who knew Dart well enough can only feel sadness at this time as she touched so many hearts with love and wonderful memories. May you Rest in Peace my friend. Until we meet again...

This is very hard. Sending sympathy to the families of Dart. I have lived in SC for several years now but was always friends with Dart. She was such a special person and anyone who knew her couldn't help but like her. I have so many memories of our teen years through the 20's. God needed an angel so please Dart help your family and children and friends get through this. R.I.P my friend. Use them wings and fly high!

Kelby, Tiffany and Jess, My deepest sympathy to you, her children, her grandchildren and Pam. I've known Darla from when we started school. She was friendly to everybody. I was always glad to see her at the DG. Your mom did an amazing job raising 3 children. She didn't have it easy but she stood tall and kept a positive outlook.
Wishing each of you peace in your hearts through this difficult time.10

So sorry to read of her passing. I knew Dart when I was younger, and stayed with my brother at times in Canton. She was always funny and could get me to laugh at a moments notice.
