Rose Marie Waldrip, 86, of Canton, PA passed away peacefully on Friday evening, December 29, 2017 at her home while surrounded by loving family.
Rose Marie was born February, 22, 1931 in Canton, PA, a daughter of the late Edward William and Mable Irene (Benjamin) Loomis.
Marie attended Canton Area Schools and later attained her GED. In earlier years, she was employed as a Data Processer with RCA in Bloomington, Indiana and then with the U.S. Air Force in Guam.  Later, Marie would retire following several years working as a Certified Nurses Aide with Guthrie Home & Health Care.
She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Towanda, where she enjoyed serving as a Bible Teacher.  She also was talented at crocheting and loved gardening.
Surviving is her beloved husband of 55 years, Howard E. Waldrip, five nieces, Mary Ann Porter, Doris Ashbaugh, Cathy Keefe, Roxanne Loomis, Susan Pickett, two nephews, Edward Loomis and Elwin Loomis Jr.
She was predeceased by an infant daughter, Patricia Jean, three brothers, Elwin Sr. “Vic”, Kenneth E. and Phillip E. Loomis.
As per Marie’s wishes, a memorial service to honor her life will be celebrated 2 p.m., Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1430 Old Mills Rd., Towanda, PA 18848. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial in Rose Marie Waldrip’s memory to the Guthrie Hospice, 421 Tomahawk Rd., Towanda, PA 18848.
Pepper Funeral Home, 578 Springbrook Dr. in Canton is assisting the family with arrangements.

marie was a wonderful person who opened my eyes to many things i will miss our visits with her and her family she was a very special lady that will always hold a special place in my heart
