Harold J. Foster, 91, of Smithfield Twp., PA, passed away early Monday morning, July 9, 2018, at home with his loving wife, Phyllis, and his children by his side.
Harold Judson was born December 6, 1926 in Leona, PA, a son of the late Elisha A. and Lydia H. (Jones) Foster. He married the former Phyllis Teribury on November 29, 1952 in Wellsboro, PA. Together sharing nearly 66 years. Harold was a member of the East Troy Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife Phyllis, surviving are his children; Patty F. Childs of East Smithfield, PA, David A. Foster (and Bill Millhollen) of Waverly, NY, Tammy L. (and Ron) Ostrander of Newfield, NY, grandchildren, Valerie (and Andy) Baalerud of Eagle River, AK, Kelly (and Ryan) King of Granville Summit, PA, Jody McMahon of Pottstown, PA, Scott (and Jacayla) Voorhees of Austin, TX, Dustin Voorhees of Austin, TX, Michael Jr. (and Brittany) Foster of Fort Pierce, FL, Christopher Foster of Lebanon, PA, Shannon Ostrander of Spencer, NY, 11 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Harold was predeceased by his son, Michael L. Foster, son in law, Craig S. Childs (U.S. Army Major Retired), granddaughter, Eva M. Childs, siblings, Una Fazekas, Allen, John Phillip and Leonard Foster.
A memorial service to honor Harold’s life will be announced at a later date. A private graveside service will be held at the Glenwood Cemetery in Troy. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to the East Troy Baptist Church, P.O. Box 21, Troy, PA 16947 or a Veteran’s organization of your choice.
