Sylvia A. Beyer, 81, of Columbia Cross Roads, PA (Columbia Twp.) passed away unexpectedly at home while surrounded by loved ones on Monday, December 31, 2018.
Born August 26, 1937 in Kulpsville, PA; Sylvia, “Syl” to family and friends, was a daughter of the late Markley M. and Amy (Miles) Ruth. She was a graduate of Collegeville – Trapp High School. Sylvia married Donald Beyer, Jr. on October 29, 1955 in Skippack. Love for family and friends came first in Syl’s life. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, she especially enjoyed traveling, camping, playing golf, square dancing, cross stitch and making latch hook rugs; she was indeed a multi-talented crafter. In earlier years, Syl was drawn to the arts and acting. She loved her involvements with the Playcrafters and Skippack Threatre groups.
In addition to Don, her husband of 63 years, surviving are her children; Bruce (Linda) Beyer of Bernville, Douglas Beyer of Banks, OR and Jeffery (Laurie) Beyer of Columbia Cross Roads, five grandchildren; Bruce Jr. (Jillian), Jason, Jacob (Elyse), Ryan and Jessi, five step-grandchildren, Lani (Dan) Robin (Pat), Danielle (Kevin) Megan (Zack), Andrew (Allie) and a great grandchild; Preston. She also leaves her beloved cat, Buddy. Sylvia was predeceased by her grandson, Austin and a sister Helen.
There will be no Funeral Service. Her family invites friends to call 12 – 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at Pepper Funeral Home & Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Dr. in Canton. Burial will be private. Share memories and condolences at www.pepperfuneralhomes.com
