Adele M. (Dowling) Caseman, 99, of Columbia Cross Roads, passed away on Wednesday, September
11, 2024. Adele was born April 15, 1925, in Queens, New York, and moved to the area as a young girl. On Sept. 6, 1946, she wed Nelson Caseman in the Methodist Church in Towanda. She felt her life truly began when she married into his family. The couple then started their family farm in Springfield Township where she resided until earlier this year. Adele was employed at Woven Label in Troy for many years until her retirement.
Adele was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Troy for over 70 years. She enjoyed crocheting and camping trips, especially to Benezette, PA, to see the Elk.
Adele leaves behind her son; Elwin "Skip" and Leatrice "Cookie" Caseman of Columbia Cross Roads and four grandchildren, Tracey Forrest (Jeff), Ronda Johnson, Jody Forrest (Tiffany) and Kim Robinson (Jeremy) all of Towanda, great and great great grandchildren, sisters-in-law; Phyllis Higley, Alice Bown and Eloise Caseman, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her husband Nelson, Adele was predeceased by a daughter and son-in-law; Connie (Larry) Forrest, grandson; John Caseman, great granddaughter; Kayla Young, grandson-in-law; Darin Johnson, brothers and sisters-in-law; Vera and Ray O'Brian, Donald Bown, Darwin Higley, Richard Caseman and Eva and James Hoover as well as brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Harold and Emma Caseman and Willard and Helen Brown.
A time of visitation will be held from 9 — 10 A.M. on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at the Troy Baptist Church, 579 Canton Street, Troy, PA 16947. A celebration of life will follow at 10 A.M. at the church with burial after in the Bradford County Memorial Park Cemetery. Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Adele's name may be directed to the Troy Baptist Church.
