Alan A. "Pops" Wetherbee, 72, of Canton, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Robert Packer Hospital Skilled Care and Rehabilitation in Towanda. Born on October 30, 1952, in Wellsboro, he was the son of the late Allen and Madeline (Root) Wetherbee. Alan graduated from Wellsboro Area Schools before proudly serving his country in the Army during the Vietnam War.
A dedicated and hardworking man, Alan spent 45 years as a self-employed truck driver before retiring in 2007. He had a passion for tinkering, often working on small engines and tending to the yard at Richter's Trailer Court.
Alan is survived by his daughter, Belinda Baldwin (Waldo Youngs) of Canton; his grandchildren, Fleisha, Olivia "Liv," Alexis "Lex," and Koy; great grandchildren; Brage, Angel, Amelia, Arianna, Miah, Eleanor, his brother;Jerry Wetherbee; and his nieces, Chrisy and Joyce.and a dear friend, Gary Isaacs.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by several siblings.
A celebration of Alan's life will take place at 4 P.M. on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Mt. Pisgah State Park, Troy, PA 16947. Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton, is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Alan's name may be made to a charity of one's choice. Memories and condolences for his family may be shared at www.pepperfuneralhomes.com.
