Alice J. Sechrist, 76, of Canton, PA passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at UPMC Hospital's Gatehouse in Williamsport. Alice was born March 26, 1946, in Williamsport to the late Carl and Valma (Fluman) Sechrist. She attended Williamsport area schools and was a graduate of the class of 1964. Following graduation, Alice continued her education at the Polyclinic Hospital School of Nursing in Harrisburg and in 1967 earned a degree in nursing. She then attended Toccoa Falls College in Georgia and received her bachelor's degree in Missions.

Alice was an avid reader and enjoyed studying the Bible. She attended the North Street Community Church in Canton. Alice loved working on jigsaw puzzles and cutting out quilt squares for the Scraps to Wraps quilting group.

Surviving Alice are her sisters; Verona (Bill) English of Leeper, PA, and JoAnne (Jerry) VanNoy of Canton, a brother; Carl (Christina) Sechrist of Carlisle, nieces and nephews; Justin (Beth) English, Jonathan (Megan) VanNoy, Joseph (Katie) VanNoy, Jasmine (Greg) Whaley and Cameron Sechrist; great nieces and great nephews; Grace (Braxton) Matthews, J.T., Paige and Bryce English, Caleb and Christian VanNoy, and Lily, Jenna and Nicole Whaley, and a great-great niece; Anelise Matthews.

Besides her parents Alice was predeceased by a niece; Justina Sechrist.

In keeping with Alice's wishes a graveside service in the Montoursville Cemetery will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton is assisting her family with final arrangements.
