Allen F. Owen, 72, of Canton, passed away unexpectedly early Sunday morning, September 15, 2024, at the Guthrie Troy Hospital, with family by his side. Allen Frank was born December 17,1951 in Canton, a son of the late Paul Jr. and Alice (Chaapel) Owen. He attended Canton Area Schools and was a graduate of the class of 1969. Shortly following high school, Al proudly joined the United States Navy where he served his country for four years during the Vietnam War.

On September 28, 1974, Al married the former Pamela Shepard in the United Methodist Church of Grover.

Al, as known by most, worked on his dairy farm for many years until his retirement in May of 2012. He loved the outdoors and was a true Stewart of the farms land, as well as seeing to the daily dairy operations with his brother Ted by his side.

Al enjoying hunting, fishing and watching the birds. Cross country skiing, playing redneck golf and riding dirt bike were some of his favorite past times.

Al leaves behind his wife; Pam, at home, son; Glenford Owen, daughters; Brooke Clark and Karyn Hickok, four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, a sister; Marcia (Alan) Shinn, brother; Theodore Owen, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins many special friends and his dog Sammy.

Besides his parents, Al was predeceased by a grandson, Killian Frey and several special friends.

In keeping with Al's wishes, services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton is assisting the family with arrangements.
