Anna M.(Cole) Patterson, 86, of Canton, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Bradford Hills in Troy. Anna Mary was born April 2, 1937, in Troy. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Katie (Walburn) Cole. Anna attended Troy area schools and was a graduate of the class of 1956. Anna was a caregiver for most of her life until her health no longer permitted her work. Anna was a woman of faith and a lifetime member of the Granville Center Church of Christ.
Anna loved camping and would go to County Bridge for the whole summer every year with her family. She enjoyed baking and learned to bake in a metal bread box over the fire while camping. In her younger years Anna liked to attend rattlesnake hunts She loved her pets and was lovingly given the handle "petlover" on the cb radio. Attending the pony pulls with her beloved Art Smith was always something she looked forward to. Taking her dogs for a walk to watch them chase the squirrels by the sound at Frisco Campground and Vero Beach River Park were some of her favorite times. Most important to Anna was her family and taking care of them and others.
Anna leaves behind her children; Elizabeth (Jerry) Malivuk of Vero Beach, Fl, JoAnn (Jeff) Eakins of Granville Summit, Roberta Reynolds (Douglas Howell) of Buxton, NC, Barbara Campbell (Darrin Raymond) and Amelia (Anthony) Estrada all of Vero Beach, Fl, son in law; Lamar Bull of Alba, adopted daughters; Myra Malloy and Maureen Fidgeon and her family, 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren on the way, a nephew; Melvin Campbell, her beloved dog Dede, as well as many cousins.
Besides her parents, Anna was predeceased by her husband Robert Campbell, a daughter; Dolores Ray Wolf and her companion Art Smith.
In keeping with Anna's wishes there will be no services. Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton is assisting the family with arrangements. Memories of Anna and condolences to her family may be shared by visiting www.pepperfuneralhomes.com
