April L. (Stauffer) Stierly, 73, of Canton, beloved wife of Alfred Stierly Jr., passed away very unexpectedly at her residence on Thursday, February 6, 2025. April Lynn was born February 26, 1951, in the Allentown Hopsital, a daughter to the late Ambrose and Jane (Smith) Stauffer. She was a 1969 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School in Pennsburg, PA. On March 22, 1969, she and Alfred were married in Clayton, PA. Together they shared nearly 56 years of marriage and raised 2 children. April was employed at the Prothonotary Office at the Bradford County Courthouse for over 15 years, until her retirement. April and Alfred were former members of the Evangelical Congregational Church in Clayton.

April was a terrific cook and baker. In her earlier years she enjoyed making family meals and line dancing. April did the daily bookkeeping of the family farm, Stierly Farms in Canton Township as well as caring for her home and family. Family, and times spent with them were always her most cherished times.

Surviving April are her husband; Alfred, at home, children; Karen (Jim) Campbell of Reading and Mark Stierly of Leroy, grandchildren; Haley, Aaron and Mason, great grandchild; Haizelynn, siblings; Steve Stauffer, Scott Stauffer, Gale Hartzel, Audrey Oppelt and Cheryl Kemerer as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents, April was predeceased by a brother, Lance Stauffer.

A time of visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton.
