Obituary

Arlene Alice Jennings, 86, of Monroeton, PA, passed away peacefully in her sleep, July 16th, 2025, at her home. She was a devoted farm wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Arlene was born on January 29, 1939, to Leamon and Lorena Smith. After graduating from Troy High School, she married Philip Donald Jennings in 1957. Together they built a life raising four children and welcoming 12 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leamon and Lorena Smith; her sister, Janice Smith; her son, Timothy Jennings; and her faithful dog, Minnie, who no doubt was waiting to greet her at Heaven's gate.

Arlene's greatest love was for the Lord, and she lived her life in faith. She also enjoyed quilting, embroidery, crocheting, and picking apples in her backyard.

She is survived by her husband, Philip; daughter Dawn (Thomas Chaapel); sons Daniel (Jenny) and David (Brenda); as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
