IN LOVING MEMORY OF
B. Arlene
Tyler
August 4, 1941 – July 15, 2024
B. "Arlene" Tyler of Columbia Crossroads, Pa passed away on July 15, 2024 at home, with her loving husband of 53 years, by her side.
Arlene was born August 4, 1941, in Elmira, NY, a daughter to the late Berna Lashiew. She was a 1959 graduate of Southside high school where she enjoyed performing in several theatrical productions. Arlene spent 20 years at Paper Magic Group beginning as a "blister girl" working her way up to shift foreman before retiring in 2002
Arlene was an avid reader and always wanted to share that love which drove her to volunteer as an adult literacy instructor for a time. Most notably, she couldn't get enough of crafting and enjoyed sewing, cross-stitch, quilting but knitting was by far her favorite. Many have received one of her beautiful sweaters over the years, however many more have her treasured Christmas stockings hanging, stuffed with goodies each Christmastime.
Arlene leaves behind her husband Floyd M. Tyler, 4 children Melinda Camissa of Hendersonville, TN; Edward (Kimberley) Madden of Stevensville, MD; Jeanine (Dan) Martin of Granville Summit, PA and Daniel (Deanna) Tyler of Gillett, PA. 2 stepdaughters; Diana (Randy) Hardy of Horseheads, NY and Tracy Smith, Elmira NY. 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, sister Dorla (Glenn) Bolt and brother Harold Lashiew.
She was pre-deceased by her parents and a sister.
There will be no public services as per Arlene's wishes. Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers a memorial donation in Arlene's name to ADNPfoundation.org or autismspeaks.org would be more meaningful to her and the family. Memories of Arlene and condolences to her family may be shared by visiting www.pepperfuneralhomes.com.
