Beverly J. (Black) Wimpling, 84, of Roaring Branch, PA, beloved wife of Harry J. Wimpling, and much loved mother of Lee (Patty) Jackson, Julie ( Bryan) Ellis, and Sue (Marv) Roberts, cherished grandmother of Shane Hetzel, Brandon(Jodi) Hetzel, Leanne Applegate, Cory (Vanna) Ragan, Michael (Alex) St. Pierre, Daphne (Phil) Barker, Damon Lagos, Trisha Shumway, Crystal (John) McCoy, and Andrew (Brit) Jackson and great grandmother to 15, passed away in her home on September 30, 2024, in her home, leaving a void her family will never fill.
Bev's children are quite certain she would have been happier if she would have had her grandchildren first as she liked them more (haha).

Bev was also stepmother to Kathy Lunsford of Georgia, Terry Di Rosario of Virginia (deceased), Chris Sanders of Florida, Stuart Wimpling of South Carolina, Robin Clarke of Tennessee, and many grandchildren.

Bev was born in Olean, NY to David and Mary Black Carl.  Her stepfather, Leon Carl, predeceased her. Her brother, John Carl, passed in 1990.

Bev took special joy in many areas of life. She was always up for a party or dinner, loved to get company especially her longtime friends of 70 years. Bev loved flowers, the color blue, the Fall season, dancing, Mercury cars, and running the roads. She had large collections of teapots, jewelry, and Avon deodorant. Bev was very proud of HER MARINE HARRY.

The family would like to thank Guthrie Hospice and Mom's caregiver, Teresia Route, for the wonderful care she received for her last 10 days of life.

The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. on Friday, October 4, 2024, at the Grover Church of Christ, 20 Main Street, Grover, PA 17735. A funeral service to honor Bev's life will follow at 1 p.m. with her pastor Will Strunk officiating. Burial will be in the Grover Cemetery, Canton Township, PA. Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials in Mrs. Beverly J.
