Bryan L. Rumsey, 34, of Liberty, PA formerly of Troy, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at UPMC Williamsport. Bryan Lee Rumsey was born June 7, 1990, in Sayre, a son of Helen (MacDowell) Meade and the late Fred A. Rumsey. He attended Troy Area Schools and graduated with the class of 2008.
In earlier years, Bryan was active in the Boy Scouts and Karate, which sparked a life-long interest in MMA fighting. He also enjoyed playing guitar, writing music and was a video game enthusiast. Bryan loved the outdoors and was an avid hiker and talented swimmer.
On June 5, 2021, he married the love of his life the former Marika D. Gordon in Williamsport. Bryan was employed as an operator for Wheeland's Lumber Company in Liberty for several years until failing health no longer permitted him to continue.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Marika, mother and step-father, Helen and John Meade of Addison, NY, siblings, Rebecca Lees of Hector, NY, Robert Rumsey of Newport, VA, William Rumsey of Ithaca, NY, David Rumsey of Shunk, a special aunt, Gayle Chase of Covington, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends, Joe Bernat, Stephan and Duke Bush, Bryan's fur babies, Angel (the parakeet) and Millie (the rabbit).
Besides his father, Bryan was predeceased by a cousin, Terri "Pork" Avery.
A celebration of life service and burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in Bryan Lee Rumsey's name to
