Carl L. O'Conners, 76, of Shunk, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at UPMC in Muncy. Born on April 29, 1949, in Roaring Branch, Carl L. was the son of the late John and Helen (Fulmer) O'Conners. He attended Canton Area Schools and graduated with the class of 1967. On September 26, 1987, he married his soulmate, Karen Morgan, and together they shared 37 wonderful years of marriage.
Carl dedicated many years of service as a supervisor at PennDot before retiring in 2010. An avid outdoorsman, he found great joy in hunting and fishing. He had a deep love for children and animals, especially his cherished canine companions—Sandy, Addie, Sadie, and Frost. Carl was known for his warm sense of humor and always had a joke ready to brighten the mood. He carried wisdom, happiness, and an unwavering love for his family, which remained the cornerstone of his life.
Carl is survived by his beloved wife, Karen; his sons, Carl "Chip" (Gena) O'Conners, Charles "Mick" (Tara) O'Conners, Jordan (Alexis) Morgan, and Greg Perry; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his siblings, Douglas O'Conners, Jake (Pat) O'Conners, David (Jean) O'Conners, and Tammy (Mark) Shedden; as well as many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his siblings, John (Corrine) O'Conners, William O'Conners, and Barb (Sy) Hubler.
A celebration of Carl's life will be held at 1 P.M. on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at the Endless Winds Fire Department, 9271 Route 154, Shunk, PA 17768. Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, located at 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton, is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Carl's name may be made to an SPCA or animal shelter of your choice. Memories and condolences may be shared by visiting www.pepperfuneralhomes.com.
