Carleen Stewart, 58, of Troy, PA, formerly of East Canton, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2013, at the Manor Care North in Williamsport.
Carleen Pearl Cloud was born in Elkton, MD on September 28, 1955, a daughter of the late Anna (Lefler) and Willis Cloud. She was a 1974 graduate of Elkton High School.
On November 20, 1976, she married Richard Tyler Stewart. They lived in Delaware for several years before moving to a farm in Canton Township where they raised sheep and cattle. Carleen also worked as a cashier and deli clerk at the Acme and BiLo Grocery Store in Canton.
Carleen was a devoted wife and mother who cherished her grandkids and loved to talk about their lives. She will be lovingly remembered as a warm and good-hearted person. She was like a second mom to her caretakers. Carleen was a member of Canton's Faith Baptist Church. She was an avid reader, in earlier years Carleen loved being outdoors especially during warm weather.
Surviving are her three children, Richard T. Stewart Jr, and Jennifer (Robert) Ames all of Troy and Melissa Stewart of Colorado Springs, CO; a brother and sister, Darrell (Linda) Cloud and Carolyn Cloud all of Eubanks, KY, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband Richard Sr, who passed away on July 3, 2007, she was predeceased by a twin sister, Marlene.
Friends may call 11 –noon Thursday, Jan. 2, at Pepper Funeral Home, Springbrook Dr. in Canton. The funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. followed by burial in Granville Center Cemetery. Share online condolences at www.pepperfuneralhomes.com
