Carol A. Meuse, 72, of Canton, PA passed away Friday afternoon, March 14, 2025, at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre. Carol Ann Barnes was born July 1, 1952, in her family's home in Roaring Branch, PA. She was one of three children of the late Arthur and Thelma (Moyer) Barnes.

Carol attended the Canton Area Schools and was a graduate of the class of 1972. She was a hard worker and in earlier years worked at Paper Magic in Troy. She will be best remembered for her employment at Canton's Chatter Box, where she worked as a waitress for over 10 years until retiring in 2022 due to health reasons.

Carol was of the Christian faith and was a former member of the Women of the Moose Lodge in Canton. She enjoyed cooking and writing to her family for special occasions. Visiting and spending time with her friends and coffee hour at the manor were always favorite times. Carol's main interest throughout life encompassed her home and family.

She is survived by three children, Michael Egli Jr., Joseph Meuse III, Melissa Carol Meuse all of New Cumberland, PA, a grandson, Joseph Meuse IV, a brother, Kevin (Melody) Barnes of Roaring Branch, a sister, Barb (Butch) Wojcik of Covington, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents, Carol was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Meuse II on June 6, 1987.

A service to celebrate Carol's life will be held 12 noon, Saturday March 29, 2025, at the Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton. Burial will be in the Park Cemetery, Canton at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in Carol's loving name to a local SPCA of your choice or to the American Cancer Society.
