Carolyn "Carol" (Hill) Parave, 87, of Canton, formerly of Strongstown, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 17, 2025, at UPMC in Williamsport. Born November 12, 1938, in Indiana County, PA. Carolyn Laverne was the daughter of the late Ervin Hill and Viola (Detwiler) Hill Brown.
Carol was a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She found joy in working jigsaw puzzles and reading, especially the novels of James Patterson. Carol was known for her strong work ethic and her straightforward nature, never afraid to speak her mind.
Carolyn's greatest pride was her family. She is survived by her children; Joseph "Bud" Hullihen, Helen (Alan) Reiss, Tammy (Shirley) Roan, and Michael "Mick" (Donna) Hullihen; nine beloved grandchildren; siblings Peggy Brown, Eleanor "Red" Trimble, and Joan Long; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and her cherished feline companions, Doc, Willow, Tanner, and Jazz.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, and siblings Della Gibbons, Patsy Long, John Hill, and Helen Oros.
In keeping with Carolyn's wishes, there will be no services. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Carolyn's name may be directed to the Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675.
