IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Clarence F. "Butt" Stone, 80, of Enola, Pa., formerly of Canton and Ogdensburg, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, in Harrisburg. Clarence Francis was born November 25, 1943, in Canton, a son of the late Francis and Laura (Carl) Stone. He attended Canton area schools and was a graduate of the class of 1961. In 1962 Clarence proudly joined the United States Army where he served his country until his honorable discharge in 1967. On July 16, 1965, Clarence married his soulmate, the former Barbara Kennedy, in the Ogdensburg Church of Christ. Together they shared 59 years of loving marriage and raised 2 children. Later in life, he went on to Penn College where he earned his Auto Body Technician degree. Clarence was employed at Sylvania in Montoursville, PA for 25 years until his retirement.
A true outdoorsman he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and making maple syrup, which he learned from his father. You could often find Clarence doing yard work or cutting and splitting wood. He took pride in working on his vehicles. Clarence was the sweetest and kindest individual and someone you could always count on. The word "no" was never in his vocabulary and he knew how to keep peace in the family. Clarence loved his family endlessly and was the most loving, loyal and faithful spouse, father and gramps.
Clarence leaves behind his wife; Barbara at home, children; Marcellyn Stone of Maryland and Rodney (Virginia) Stone, granddaughter; Delaney Stone all of Enola, sisters; Evelyn (Robert) Blow of Buffalo, NY, Jean (Ronald) Shaner of Poughkeepsie, NY and Linda Runkle of Mechanicsburg, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
