Obituary

Connie R. (Bryington) Shedden, 74, of Canton, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, March 17, 2024, while surrounded by the love of her family. Connie Rose was born February 13, 1950, in Troy, a daughter of the late Joseph and Verna (McIllwain) Bryington. She attended Canton Area Schools. On February 8, 1966, Connie married Jack Shedden in Hagerstown, Maryland. Together they shared 58 years of loving marriage and raised three children. Connie loved the Lord and was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Canton.

Connie enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest every day. From flowers and plants to watching the birds, Connie treasured the outdoors and all the beauty nature had to offer. She also enjoyed coloring and dancing. Spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, was always the highlight of her life.

Surviving Connie are her husband Jack, at home, children, Jack Shedden Jr. (Missy) of Leroy and Scotty Shedden of Wheelerville, grandchildren; Shawn, Corey, Gavin and Robbie, several great grandchildren, a sister; Cathy Phillips of Milford, Delaware, special niece and nephew, Kenny Shedden and Trisha Brown as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to a very special hospice nurse, Mandy Manly, who was a very caring and compassionate individual.

Besides her parents Connie was predeceased by a daughter, Roxanna Miller.

The family invites friends to a celebration of Connie's life at 1 p.m on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at the Canton American Legion, 465 Springbrook Drive, Canton, PA 17724. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Connie's name may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project by visiting www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
