Constant (Bing) F. Benninger;
The road traveled by Bing Benninger started on January 9th, 1941, and concluded December 21st, 2024. He was the 3rd son of Miner F Benninger & Nancy J (Brewer) Benninger/Canfield. Born in Sayre PA, Bing grew up in the Towanda/Wyalusing/Sugar Run area with the Mapes
family. Bing attended the Wyalusing school system (1958). After high school he moved to the Canton PA area. He met the love of his life while working on the Art Harkness farm. In 1960, he married Betty Pepper at the LeRoy Independent Baptist Church. Throughout Bing's life he worked at the Collins Valve, Farming, Construction, & Masonite/Jeld-wen- retiring after 33 years of dedicated work. He was known for his strong work ethic, devotion to his family, & above all convictions to always rising above situations of adversity. Family was an integral part of his plan, his two children learned hard work, dedication, kindness, and always rising above. Known as Poppop to his grandchildren and now great grandchildren, he cherished every minute that he could spend with them. Bing's hobbies included carpentry, snowmobiles, car building/restoration of antique cars. He obtained numerous trophies at car show events. Bing was known as a jack of all trades. He attended the LeRoy Independent Baptist Church, serving as Sunday School Superintendent, Deacon, Trustee, & in numerous areas of the Awana program, along with assisting in many renovations. Bing is survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty Pepper Benninger, children- Brenda (Korin) & Brian (Carolyn). His grandchildren include Colby (Jessica) & Clay (Lonnie), James, Breigh (Austin), Eli, & Andrew Shea. He was Poppop to great grandchildren, Cayson, Brantley, Harper, & Aiden Spencer. Bing's surviving siblings are Laura Spencer (Richard-deceased), Jack (Debbie) Benninger, Dora, Dale (Mable) Canfield, Gail (Jim-deceased) Clark, & Penny Rose.
Also, surviving brother in-laws & spouses Brad (Faye) Pepper, & Bill (Patti) Pepper. He has numerous nieces, nephews, & cousins.
Those predeceasing him are his parents listed above, & Lynn and Martha Pepper. His siblings; brothers William, Carl (Vivian), & Harold Benninger, Bob Pepper, Bud (Linda) Pepper & sisters Janice (Evertt) Covey, & Nancy Rogers.

A time of visitation will be held from 11 a.m. - Noon on Friday December 27, 2024, at Pepper Funeral Home, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton. A funeral service will follow at Noon with Pastors Bill Pepper, Tyler Pepper, & Ron Bly officiating.
