IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Courtney R.
Bailey
September 2, 1986 – October 16, 2023
Courtney R. Bailey, 37, of Canton, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 16, 2023 at UPMC Hospital in Williamsport. Courtney Rae was born September 2, 1986 in Sayre, a daughter to Stephen and Kimberly (Segur) Bailey. She attended Canton Area Schools and was a graduate of the class of 2006. Courtney was a very spiritual individual and attended the Ogdensburg Church of Christ.
Courtney was a kind hearted woman, whose life encompassed her home and family. She was affectionately known to be late to most family functions, always the last to leave, and never on time. Courtney loved just about everything and everyone. From children that she cared for to kittens, bunnies, and other furry friends; she always made sure everything was taken care of. Courtney was always there to help her family. She never said no to babysitting her nieces and nephews and enjoyed watching her family's animals. Courtney was the epitome of cleanliness, keeping everything spotless. She was a selfless individual and put everyone's needs above her own, putting her family and friends as her number one priority in life. From the moment she was born, Courtney's life purpose was always to care for others. She was a devoted mother above all, raising her son Michael alongside Kale, the love of her life and partner of 14 years.
Besides her parents, Steve and Kim Bailey, Courtney is survived by her son; Michael Bailey, the love of her life; Kale Allen, siblings; Justin (Aimee) Bailey and their children; Journey and Gabriella, Whitney (Spencer) Castle and their children; Daisy and Cedar, grandparents; Elsie Bailey, Larry Gowin, Howard Bailey and Gerald (Elizabeth) Segur, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended special family; Kristy Tarbox and Corey (Halley) Allen, the children that she cared for; Saige, Ella, Cayson and Evelynn and her canine companions; Lexi and Patches and feline friends; Princess, Mittens, and Oliver.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023 from Noon – 2:00 P.M. at Pepper Funeral Home, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton. A funeral service will take place at 2 P.M. with burial following in the East Canton Cemetery.
