Obituary

Dale Foust, 71, of Troy, PA, Formerly of  the Canton area, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Bradford Hills Nursing Facility. Dale Duane was born March 5, 1953, in Troy, the son of the late William J. and Bernice (Clinton) Foust. He was a 1971 graduate of Canton Area Schools where he went to Vocational Technical School in Towanda for Horticulture.   On August 21, 1999, Dale married the former Beverly Ann Raplee in Troy and together they shared 17 years of marriage. Beverly predeceased him in death on September 22, 2016.   Dale worked on his dairy farm in the Roaring Branch (Spencertown) area for many years until 1991 when he began driving truck.   He enjoyed driving truck for several companies including Rathbun Veal in Grover, Barr-Nunn out of Iowa, and Penns Best in Meshoppen, until his retirement in 2017.

Dale was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, woodworking, gardening, pulling tractors, driving race cars, his coffee group, and especially spending time with family.   He also enjoyed traveling and recently went on a cruise to Alaska.  Dale was a member of the Canton Moose Lodge #429 and the NRA.

Dale leaves behind his children; Chad Foust of Troy, Michelle (Steve) Stettler and Amy Gaylord all of Mansfield, Laurie (George) Evans  of troy, four grandchildren; Tyler and Nathan Stettler, Brielle Gaylord, and Samantha Evans,  great-grandchildren: Sophia, Luke, Kyle, Raelynne, Landon, Maverick and Mackinley, siblings; Sue (Bob) Cook, Sharon Logoci, Sally Langfang, Mitchell "Mickey" Foust, ;special friend Eric Anderson, ;numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins and his faithful canine Jake.

Besides his parents, Dale was predeceased by his wife, Beverly, his grandson Brandon (and wife Kate) Evans, and siblings, Linda White, Jimmy Foust and Sandra Belle.

The viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 24th from 11 to 12:30 p.m.at the Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton.   Rev. Kenneth Marple will officiate his funeral service and celebration of life at 12:30 p.m.   Burial will be private in the Windfall Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the local SPCA of your choice.
