Della L. (Smith) Donato, 77, of Williamsport, PA passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the Gatehouse in Williamsport.

Della Louise Smith was born on November 25, 1948, at her family’s home in Shunk, PA, she was a daughter of the late Arthur W. and Caroline (Bianchi) Smith Sr.

She attended High School in Sullivan County. Della enjoyed playing bingo, doing jigsaw puzzles and thrift shopping, especially when looking for a good sale. Above all, Della was a loving, caring person who was always willing to help others in need.

She is survived by her children, Kenneth H. (Amy) Buck, Connie Boyd, Lori Buchanan, step-son, Sam Donato, grandchildren, Donald Jr. (Amber) Donato, Dana Donato, Robert Petrowski, Mindy Buck, Chelsea Buchanan, Nick Petrowski, Brant Buchanan, Emma Segur, Aaron Shults, Brittany Chaapel and Garret Shults, many great grandchildren, siblings, Arthur “Baldy” Smith, Robert (Debbie) Smith and Bill (Shelly) Smith, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Donald Raymond Donato, Stanley Czop, Della was predeceased by a son, Donald Donato Sr., siblings, Debbie Williams, Betty Phillips, Beverly Newcomer, Sharon Norton and a grandson, Sammy Donato.

In maintaining to Della’s wishes there will be no services.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Della’s loving memory may be directed to the St. Judes Children’s Hospital Cancer research.

The Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton is assisting the family with arrangements.
