Obituary

Denny L. McLaughlin, 69, of Ralston, passed away unexpectedly,Tuesday, November 1,2021 at his residence. Denny Lee was born March 11, 1952 in Williamsport to the late Harold and Pauline (Miller) McLaughlin. He graduated with the class of 1970 from Canton High School, where he was active in Warrior baseball. On July 29, 1977 he married the former Starr Vroman in Troy. Together they shared 44 years of marriage and raised two children. Denny was employed in the construction industry for most of his life. He was a member of the Marine Corps League (Deer X-Ing Detachment) and a lifetime member at the Red Run Road and Gun Club both in Ralston.



Denny, known as"Heiny", a popular character from TV'sformer Green Acressitcom,had many interests in life including; gardening and cooking, especiallyduringfamily gatherings. He was a true outdoorsman and lovedfishing, huntingand all of natures beauty. Denny took pleasure in volunteering and would lend a helping hand anytime that it was needed. Some affectionately referred to him asthe Mayor of Ralston.



He leaves behindhis wife, Starr of Ralston, children; Dennis Jr.(Jessica) Mclaughlin of Trout Run andTennor (Cheyenne) McLaughlin of E. Liverpool, OH, grandchildren; Jordan, Ashlen, James, Spyke and Xavier, siblings; Jerry (Selena) McLaughlin, Sally (Robert) Bechdel of Williamsport, Steve (Cindy) McLaughlin of Marsh Hill, Debbie Winters of S. Williamsport, Brenda McLaughlin of Cogan Station and Rick McLaughlin of williamsport, Ronald McLaughlin of Watsontown and Tammy (Fred) Wesley of White Deer, sisters in law and brothers in law; Dawn (Gordon) Route of Roaring Branch, Bonnie Vroman of W. Burlington, Russell (Bonnie) Vroman of Mansfield, Jean Takach of Canton, Dallas (Brenda) Bastion of Ralston, Robbin Gardner of Lindenandnumerous nieces, nephews and cousins.



Besides his parents Denny was predeceased by a brother, Harry McLaughlin, brothers in law, David and James (Barbara) Vroman.



Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Denny's life 1 p.m. Friday, November 5, 2021 at the Red Run Rod and Gun Club's Annex, Rt. 14 Ralston.Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Drive, Canton is assisting the family with final arrangements.
