Donald E. Eddy Jr., 71, of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre. Donald Ellsworth was born September 29, 1954, in Blossburg, PA, a son of the late Esther (Wood) and Donald Eddy Sr. He attended Troy area schools. On October 1994, Donnie married the former Carol Buck in Troy. Together they shared 31 years of loving marriage. Donnie, as known by most, was employed by Larimer Norton Ball Bat Factory as a loader operator for 28 years until his retirement in 2015.
Donnie was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He had a real appreciation for classic cars and enjoyed showing his antique cars at local events. His passion for tractor pulling was well known, and he was an active member of both the Northern Tier Tractor Pulling Association in East Smithfield and the Twin Tier Antique Tractor Association in Rome.
Donnie was a dedicated, hardworking man who always looked forward to plowing his neighbors’ driveways in Austinville each winter. His kindness and commitment to helping others earned him the nickname “Mayor Donnie.” He was friendly, outgoing, and loved to talk. He would do anything for anyone, and he never met a stranger, once you started talking with him, you were already a friend. Above all, Donnie treasured his family. The time he spent with them meant the most to him.
Donald leaves behind his wife; Carol, at home, children; Ducky (Jessica) Eddy, Darrin (Brooke) Eddy, Denise (Sebby) Brown, Barb (Jamie) Rowland, Debbie (Frank) Leonard and Kevin Stahle, grandchildren; 21 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and counting, brothers; Duane Johnson and Gary Eddy and his faithful canine companion; Pumba as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
