Donald Beyer Jr., 88, of Columbia Cross Roads, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024, at the Guthrie Troy Community Hospital. Donald was born February 26, 1936, in Skippack, Pa, a son of the late Clarence Donald Sr. and Idell (Moyer) Beyer. Don proudly served his country in the Army National Guard from 1953 until his honorable discharge in 1961. On October 29, 1955, he married the former Sylvia Ruth. Together they shared 63 years of marriage until Sylvia's passing on December 31, 2018.  Don was employed by HC Wilson in Hatfield, PA., as a master electrician until his retirement in 1989.

Don enjoyed traveling and camping. Woodworking, renovating and building were some favorite past times.  Mowing his yard and keeping his property looking pristine was something he truly loved doing. He had faith in his lord and loved his family endlessly. He was a fan of Barbara Streisand and was proud to be an American.

He leaves behind his beloved children, Bruce (Linda) Beyer of Bernville, Douglas Beyer of Banks, OR and Jeffery (Laurie) Beyer of Columbia Cross Roads, grandchildren, Bruce Jr. (Jillian), Jason (Stephanie), Jacob (Elyse), Ryan (Kelli) and Jessi, step-grandchildren, Lani (Dan) Robin (Pat), Danielle (Kevin) Megan (Zack), Andrew (Allie) and a great grandchild; Preston (Katerina) and Chloe.

Besides his parents and wife, Don was predeceased by a grandson, Austin.

The family invites friends to call 11 a.m to 1 p.m. Sunday, August 4, 2024, at Pepper Funeral Home & Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Dr. in Canton. A brief service to celebrate Donald's life will follow at the conclusion of the visitation with Pastor Mark Steckiel officiating. Military honors will be accorded. Burial will be private.
