Obituary

Dorothy L. (Frey) Roupp, 73, well known life-time resident of Ralston, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022, at UPMC Williamsport Hospital. Dorothy Louise was born June 2, 1948, in Williamsport to the late Robert C. and Eleanor L. (Snyder) Frey.

She attended Canton Area Schools and was a graduate of the class of 1966. On July 13, 1968, she married her beloved husband, Graydon Lee Roupp in Ralston. Together they shared 47 wonderful years before Graydon's passing on August 24, 2015.

Dorothy was a member of the Red Run Rod and Gun Club and in earlier years, was active in the Canton Mixed Bowling League.

Dorothy enjoyed sitting on her porch swing watching the birds and the goings-on in the neighborhood. She liked to visit with her neighbors and was never afraid to speak what was on her mind. Dorothy always looked forward to playing cards, especially Setback and UNO with her kids and grandkids. She loved listening to bluegrass and country music and watching the gameshow network on television to pass the time.

Surviving are her daughters; Melissa (John) McGinnis of Clyde, Texas, Allyson Root of Mansfield and Lindsay Roupp of Williamsport, step-children; Bonnie Sue Hall of Hughesville, Graydon II (Madelyn) Roupp and Rick Roupp all of Reading, grandchildren; Zanni, Sierra and Richie, many step-grandchildren and great step-grandchildren, siblings; William (Mary K.) Frey of Palm Bay, Florida, Norma (Jacob "Buck") Richards of Roaring Branch, sister-in-law; Carol Roupp of Roaring Branch as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, special neighbor and friend; Bonnie Rae Bonnell of Ralston.

Besides her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by siblings and brother-in-law; Josephine (John) Stoner, Dean Frey, a stepson and his spouse; Scott (Donna) Roupp.

Following a private burial service, the public is invited to a Life Celebration and a luncheon will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at 2 p.m. at the Red Run Rod & Gun Club pavilion. Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, Inc., 578 Springbrook Drive, Canton, Pa. 17724 is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers consider a memorial donation in Dorothy's name to the Ralston Fire Company, PO Box 1, Ralston, PA 17763.
