Obituary

Duane Robert Cummings, 66, of Mansfield, PA died peacefully Saturday

Evening, July 2, 2011 at his home while surrounded by family.



Born on March 2, 1945 in Elmira, NY a son of Earl and Helen(Batz)Cummings

and raised by his mother and step-father, Edgar Fish.



Duane loved spending time with family and his golden retriever, Buddy. He

enjoyed reading and entering his canned goods at the Tioga County Fair.

Duane was a talented woodworker and loved making humming birds that he gave

to the special people in his life. He was a Boy Scout leader and coached

Little League for many years. Duane also enjoyed and took great pride in his

Ford Jubilee tractor. He was a life member of the Hillside Rod and Gun Club,

Blossburg and a social member of Mansfield's VFW.



In earlier years, Duane was employed by Roger Andrew's Well Drilling in

Wellsboro. He later retired while working for the Ward Foundry in Blossburg.



Surviving is his wife of nearly 13 years, Patricia, children, Kassidy at

home, Richard (Stephanie)Cummings of Peabody, Mass., Christina Wilkins(Chris

Gee)of Middlebury, Angela Wilkins of Wellsboro, Jennifer (Kip)Baldwin of

Millerton, Lisa Tillman of Salem, Mass., siblings, Marylyn Hynds and Donald

Cummings both of Georgia, Earl Cummings of California, Gary (Connie) Fish

and Janice (Glen) Paris all of Mansfield, Charlene (Tom) Shoff of Loyalsock,

Phyllis Miranda of Watertown, Myron (Jeanne) Fish of Three Springs,

grandchildren, Jake, Sophia, Gunnar, Jason, Daniel, Alex, Logan, Wyatt,

Kevin, Dillan, step-grandchildren, Cassie, Erica, Mason, Grant, special

sisters in law and brothers in law, Mary Lou and Carl Smith of Mansfield,

Joann and Jim Spencer of Wellsboro, very dear friends and caregivers,

Carroll and Anne Seibert both of Mansfield, many nieces, nephews and

cousins.



Besides his parents and step-father, Duane was predeceased by: sisters,

Lydia Vorhess, Myrtie Close, Beverly Mitchell, Betty Saltre, brothers, David

and Darwin Cummings, Edgar "Bub" Fish and a granddaughter, Lydia Wilkins.



Friends may call 10 to noon, Wednesday at Zwicharowski Funeral Home, 314

Granger St., Blossburg with services following at noon. Burial will be in

St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorials in Mr. Cummings' name may be made to

Mansfield's Food Pantry, Lambs Creek Rd. Mansfield, Pa. 16933.
