E. JoAnn Hickok, 78, of Canton (LeRoy Township, PA) went home to join Jesus her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. Evelyn JoAnn Koval was born one of three daughters on November 22, 1946, in Marsh Hill, PA, to the late Frank and Lois (Wall) Koval. As a young woman she attended Canton Area School and graduated with the class of 1964. On October 8, 1971, JoAnn married her soulmate, David Hickok in East Canton. Together they shared 53 years of marriage and raised 2 sons.

JoAnn was a devoted Nurse's Aide and was employed for over 20 years by the former Bradford County Manor in W. Burlington until her retirement. She was an active member of the LeRoy Independent Baptist Church, where JoAnn was instrumental in the OCC (Operation Christmas Child), a missionary service that supports children and people throughout the world and was also the director of the Awana Sparks. She also enjoyed the Hickok reunion and will be remembered for overseeing the family's auction. In life, JoAnn's main interest was the love she shared in her home and church.

JoAnn leaves behind her husband, David, at home, sons, Tyrone (Jessica) Hickok of Edmond Ok, Bret (Jody) Hickok of Montoursville, five grandchildren, a sister, Peg (Jim) Helveston of Exeter, several nieces, nephews, cousins as well as five brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law.

Besides her parents, JoAnn was predeceased by an infant son and a sister, Stella Krise.

The family invites friends to call on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 1 to 2:30 P.M. at the Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton, PA

A celebration of JoAnn's life will follow at 2:30 P.M. with her brother-in-law, Pastor Ron Bly officiating. Burial will be private in East Canton Cemetery.
