Earl C. Scott, 72, of Columbia Cross Roads, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 28, 2026. Earl Charles was born on May 25, 1953, in Sayre, the son of the late Earl F. and Helen (Layton) Scott. On October 19, 1999, he married the former Linda Bristol in Franklindale, and together they shared 26 years of devoted marriage.

Earl worked for more than a decade with Mountain Lake Construction, a job he took pride in until his health no longer allowed him to continue. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Alba and the Canton American Legion Post 303.

A talented woodworker and an avid outdoorsman, Earl loved hunting, fishing, vegetable gardening and, in his younger years, camping. He was known as a friendly, easy-going man who never hesitated to lend a hand. Above all, Earl was a loving husband and father, and his family was always the center of his life.

Earl leaves behind his wife, Linda, at home, children; Cindy Lynn Bristol (Jimmy Wood) and Charles F. Scott, grandson, Cameron Hicks, siblings; Helen Breese, Nellia (Al) Toth, Patricia (Charles) Kingsley, Cindy Coyne, Mary Jane Scott, Thomas (Sharon) Scott and Joe (Kayla) Scott, brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: David Bristol, Judy Bristol and Lois (Dave) Wolf, special niece; Cherri Coyne, god-mother; Charlotte Morse as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents, Earl was predeceased by a brother-in-law; Delbert Breese.

A celebration of Earl's life will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Noon at the First Christian Church of Alba, 74 Church Drive, Alba, PA 16910. Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mr. Scott's name may be directed to the First Christian Church of Alba.
