Eddie "Tex" Hicks, 88, beloved husband of Janice (Hagar) Hicks, of Roaring Branch, Union Township, PA "Gone Home" early Monday morning, April 27, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Eddie was born on June 29, 1931 in Lukfin, TX. "Tex" loved to be with his Lord while just doing the simple things, gardening, mowing and wood working just to name a few. Eddie began serving the Lord in 1972 at the Cogan House Christian Church, First Church of Christ in Elkins, WV and later the Garden View Church of Christ in Williamsport. Eddie's main interest in life was spreading the gospel to others.

He is survived by; his wife of 67 years, Janice at home, two daughters, Barbara (and Robert) Edwards and Ginger Hicks all of Jersey Shore, PA, six grandchildren, Jason (and Kelsey) Hicks, Rebecca (and Jeremy) Grove, Steven (and Ashley), Amanda, Samantha and Cory Baney, 19 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. Hicks' was predeceased by; two sons, Glen and Coyce Hicks, four siblings, Louise, Joe, Jack and Jimmy.

A graveside service will be held in the Grover Cemetery in Canton Township at the convenience of the family. A celebration to honor Eddie's life will be announced and held at a later date.
