Elaine I. Frey, 75, of Troy, formerly of Shunk, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at the Gatehouse in Williamsport. Elaine was born June 21, 1948, in Canton, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Marion (Brown) Frey. She graduated from Sullivan County Schools and attended Williamsport Area Community College where she obtained her Accounting Degree. Elaine was employed by American Silk Label in her earlier years and the United States Post Office as a rural carrier for 25 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Women of the Moose in Canton, WIBC at the Troy Bowling Alley, was inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame in Troy and was involved for many years with the Brown and Quaker Cemeteries in Shunk.

Elaine was a woman of faith in the lord and loved attending church. She was very involved in bowling and    helped to start the youth bowling league in Troy. Elaine had a passion for genealogy and researching her family history. She was a crafty lady and liked to knit, crochet and make diamond dots. Reading was another favorite past time for Elaine. She loved to talk about all her fond memories of growing up on the farm in Shunk. Elaine always looked forward to watching her grandkids sporting events, especially Kyle's senior year of football and the Southern Columbia team. Most important to Elaine was her family and the times she spent with them.

Surviving Elaine are her children; Joe (Sandy) Kisinger of Canton, Dianna (Tracey) Christman of Elysburg and Genny Bump (Charlie Reus) of Cosby, TN, grandchildren; Sierra (Scott) Edgar, Saxie (Martin) Deal, Tommy Price, Taylor Christman, Kyle Christman, David Bump, Samantha Bump and Casper Reus, great grandchildren; Remington Edgar, Connor Bump and Maya Deal, brothers; Gene Frey and Miles Frey, a sister; Dolores Hartford as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents Elaine was predeceased by a brother Ronald Frey and a sister: Carol Frey.

A funeral Service to honor Elaine's life will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton. A private family burial will be held in Brown Cemetery in Shunk. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Elaine's name may be directed to the Gatehouse, 1100 Grampian Blvd, Williamsport, PA 17701.
