Florence C. (DeLong) Beck, 83, of Ralston, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 16, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born February 6, 1943, in Williamsport, Florence Charlotte was the daughter of the late George and Frances (Rigby) DeLong. On May 22, 1970, she married her soulmate, George Beck, in the Ogdensburg Church, and together they shared 55 years of devoted marriage.
Florence was a member of the Ralston United Methodist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Ralston Fire Company. A gifted baker, she delighted family and friends with her creations. She enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, and had a special love for owls, proudly displaying an extensive collection that reflected her fondness for them.
Florence leaves behind her husband, George Beck Sr., at home, children; John Bailey, Kevin Bailey, Theron (Roseanne) Beck, George Jr. (Jerelyn) Beck and Willard Beck, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren, siblings; Phyillis Mundrick, Edrie Carl and Paul DeLong as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents, Florence was predeceased by a son; Carl Beck, daughter; Frances Fuller and her siblings; George and Richard DeLong, Ida Gret, Ralph DeLong and Bessie Rooker.
A graveside service to honor the life of Florence will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 22, 2026, at the Union Cemetery in Liberty Township, PA, with Pastor Charlie Thomas officiating. Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mrs. Beck’s name may be directed to Shriners Children’s, PO Box 947765, Atlanta, GA 30394.
