Gary Jackson, 51, of Roaring Branch, PA (Union Twp.) passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, from injuries received in an truck accident.



Gary Neal Jackson was born on March 1962 in Troy, PA, youngest of four boys in the family of Norman and Jean (Yonkin) Jackson of Roaring Branch. He was a 1980 graduate of Canton High School. On May 3, 2003, he married the former Gayle Holland in Texas. Gary loved his life's career as a farmer. Most recently, he also worked as a truck driver for Bradford County Sanitation Co. of Canton. He was a member and former president of the Tioga County Holstein Association and a member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. In earlier years, he was very active in the Ogdensburg 4-H Club. Gary loved being outdoors, whether it be working to improve his property or going hunting, he was a true steward of the land. He also was an avid bowler. Gary was also a member of the Ogdensburg Church of Christ.



In addition to his parents, Gary is survived by his wife, Gayle; two sons, Chris (Jen) Jackson of Trout Run and Sam Jackson of Covington; two step-daughters, Laci Glover of Williamsport and Candice Glover of Monroeville , PA; three granddaughters, Lily, and Sarah Jackson and Harper Drenning; three brothers, Tom (Deb) Jackson of Williamsport, Steve (Angela) Jackson of Canton and Mike (Shelia) Jackson of Roaring Branch; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.


He was predeceased by grandparents; Tracy and Viola Jackson and Harold and Cora Yonkin.


Calling hours are 11a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at the Ogdensburg Church of Christ. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Dan Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Ogdensburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, consider a memorial in Gary's name to the Ogdensburg Church of Christ at 13065 Route 414 Roaring Branch, PA 17765. Arrangements are in the care of Pepper Funeral Home in Canton.
