Gladys M. (Forer) Jackson, 92, of Roaring Branch, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025, at the Bradford Hills Nursing Facility. Gladys Marie was born September 21, 1933, in Liberty, one of three children, to the late Lee Arnold and Estella M. (Anderson) Forer. She attended Liberty High School and was a graduate of the class of 1951.
On October 6, 1951, Gladys married Galen H. Jackson in the Friedens Lutheran church in Liberty. Together they raised two children and shared 70 years of loving marriage until Galen's passing on August 1, 2022.
Gladys and Galen owned and operated Triple-Beech farms in Roaring Branch (Union Township) for many years. She was also employed with the United States Postal Service as a clerk in Roaring Branch until her retirement in 1992. She was woman of faith and was a member of the Ogdensburg Church of Christ and the Union Township Historical Society.
Gladys was an avid gardener and loved her flowers. She enjoyed baking and loved sitting on the porch, watching wildlife and having good conversations. Even after her husband passed, she continued watching wildlife and drinking coffee daily with her children. Gladys was a selfless person who always put everyone else before her. Above all her family was always her top priority.
She is survived by her children, Dale (Laura) Jackson of Roaring Branch and Bonnie (Andy) Jackson-Dominick of Painted Post, NY., grandchildren; Kyle (Robin) Anderson of Dallas, Nolan (Aidy) Anderson of Hatboro, Caitlyn (Corey) Stevens of Roaring Branch, Janice (Nick) Bryan of East Smithfield, Caleb (Tricia) Jackson of Alba, great grandchildren; Lincoln Anderson, Matix Darby, Danielle and Paul Bryan, Hadley Stevens, Walker Stevens and Luke Jackson as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and neighbors.
Besides her parents, and husband, Galen, Gladys was predeceased by her brothers; Lee Forer Jr., and Clifford Forer.
In honoring Mrs. Jackson's wishes services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
