Glen L Harris, 73, of Franklindale, passed away unexpectedly due to medical issues on August 14, 2026, at home. 

Born on August 24, 1952, at Troy Community Hospital in Troy, PA to Walter and Alta Harris. Glen was a free spirit who in his younger years enjoyed attending van festivals and driving around the east coast. He was also on the swim team in high school and enjoyed playing the according. His true passion was working with his hands and woodworking. Glen worked at Sylvania for a few years and then he started his own construction company, which involved building and remodeling. Glen worked for many years for Northeast Builders and then prior to his retirement was employed by Mac Builders. During his free time, he was always building something in his shop. He enjoyed making picnic tables for squirrels, bird houses, and wooden cars and trucks. Glen was always willing to help others and never asked for anything in return. When asked to build something, Glen never hesitated. On numerous occasions his granddaughter Tesla would task him with projects, which he would always find a way to build. He also spent numerous hours in the hot summer sun building a gazebo with his son Billy, to ensure his daughter-in-law Alicia would have something beautiful for their wedding. Glen was such a hard-working man, who never complained but instead always made sure the job was completed. Glen was often found at the local Dandy getting his coffee, which was something he never went without.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Alta Harris. He is survived by his sons, Billy (Alicia) Harris of Granville Summit and Deven Harris of Franklinedale, granddaughters, Quianna and Tesla and his siblings, Kay (Dana) McNeal and Tracey (Pat) Harris, as well as numerous nieces and a nephew, cousins, many friends, and his fur baby Gizmo.

With respect to Glen’s wishes, no services will be held but a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

The Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton is assisting the family with arrangements.
