Obituary

Gregory "Greg" J. Oliver, 54, of Williamsport, formerly of Ralston, passed away at his residence on Sunday, February 20, 2022. Gregory Joseph was born January 21, 1968 in Lycoming County to Jesse and Lois (Patterson) Oliver. He attended Canton Area Schools and was a graduate of the class of 1987. Shortly after graduating Greg joined the National Guard and proudly served our country, earning the rank of Sergeant. Greg, as known by most, was employed by various companies in the area, most recently by Bimbo Bakeries in Williamsport. Greg was a member of the Red Run Gun Club in Ralston.



Greg had a passion for local history. He had a very curious mind and loved to solve problems. Greg was a connoisseurof local music and musicians, making many friends in the industry. He was a very strong advocate for those he called his friends.



Gregwas predeceased by his grandparents; Beatrice (Ernest) Patterson and Donald (Nola) Oliver.



Surviving Gregare his parents; Lois and Jesse Oliver, and his brothers; Don, Brad and Tim Oliver.



A private family service to honor Greg's life will be held at the convenience of the family. Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, Inc., 578 Springbrook Drive, Canton, PA 17724 is assisting the family with arrangements.
