Obituary

Carolyn "Jane" Pidcoe, 59, of Canton Township, PA was called to her heavenly home while a rainbow shown through her window on Friday, June 24, 2011, at the Robert Packard Hospital in Sayre. Her beloved family was at her side.


Carolyn Williams, "Jane" to family and friends, was born on August 7, 1951, in Sayre, PA, a daughter of the late Donald M. and Lucille (Tunnicliff) Williams. Caring for her family and home were most important in Jane's life. She will be always remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Jane also worked as a custodian at Canton Area Schools and Bradford County Manor. On November 19, 1971, Jane married Paul Pidcoe at the First Baptist Church in Canton and they felt truly blessed with 39 wonderful years together.


Jane was a member of the East Canton United Methodist Church, a member and former officer of the Beech Flats Grange No. 336, a member of the Bradford/Sullivan Pomona Grange, State and National Granges. Jane enjoyed doing many things for her family and friends. She was a fabulous cook and baker who loved making wedding and birthday cakes. Jane also raised many vegetable gardens over the years and enjoyed sharing her produce and canning.


Surviving are her husband, Paul; two sons, Philip (Nona) Pidcoe of Mainsburg and James (Bettyann) Pidcoe of Canton; four stepchildren, Paul L. (Pam) Pidcoe of Canton, Nancy Pidcoe and Penny Isenberg both of Manassas, VA and Phyllis (Jody) Armel of Strasburg , VA; 15 grandchildren, Darin, Angie, Melissa, Jordan, Lisa, Micheal , Arthur, Steven, Sharlin, Sierra, Jacob, Carolyn, Stacey, Courtney and Robert; two great-grandchildren, Coleman and Kaylynn; four siblings, Vera Reed of Canton, Gladys Koser of Austinville, Donald Williams of Granville Summit and Kevin Marbaker of Canton, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends.


She was predeceased by a sister, Donna Jones and sister-in-law, Maida Chaney.


Family invites friends to call 6 - 8 p.m. Monday and 10 - 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, at Pepper Funeral Home, Springbrook Dr. in Canton. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 with Rev. Dianne Bentley officiating. Burial will be in Beech Flats Cemetery. Those who wish may consider a memorial in Jane's


name to the East Canton U.M. Church, RR 1 Box 1396 Canton, PA 17724.
