Janet Hipple, 80, of Roaring Branch, PA (McNett Twp.) passed away Tuesday morning, January 24, 2017 at the Bradford County Manor, Troy, PA.
Born September 28, 1936 in Grover, PA, Janet Irene, also affectionately known as "Frogy" by family and friends, was a daughter of the late Arthur and Erma Irene (Elliott) Fields.She attended Canton High School.
Janet was a member of Grover's St. John's United Methodist Church.She also enjoyed attending the Grover Church of Christ. The wife of the late Willard Edward Hipple, Janet will be remembered as a loving and humble person who thought of others, but her kids always came first.In earlier years, she worked at Canton's Bellmar Company and later at Canton Manufacturing for many years until retiring.She enjoyed cooking, baking, playing the organ, crossword puzzles, latch hook and all kinds of candy.Janet also liked collecting frog figurines and she grew beautiful African Violets.
Surviving are her five children; Becky (husband, Errol) Evans of Canton, Willard, Sr. (wife, Lori) Hipple of Texas, Bob (wife, Tammy) Hipple of Canton, Lonnie Hipple of Roaring Branch, Katie (husband, Rich) Avery of Shunk and adopted family member, Daisy Myrick of Roaring Branch.
Six grandchildren; Willard Jr., Howard, Lela, Jeremiah, Megan, Cody and three step-grandchildren; Rich Jr., Chris and Norman.
Seven great grandchildren; Riley, Saylor, Alex, Trey, Austin, Sean, Emma, and nine step-great grandchildren; Hanna, Alexis, Nichole, Stephanie, Jennifer, Connor, Isabella, Riley and Taylor.
A sister, Pat Holley of Virginia; special niece, Michelle Hipple of York, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband Willard, she was predeceased by her son, Kevin Thomas Hipple.
Calling hours are 11 – 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at Pepper Funeral Home, 578 Springbrook Dr. in Canton.Rev.
