Janet S. Terry, 94, of Canton, PA, widow of Carl, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday morning, January 17, 2018.

Janet Stella Ward was born in West Burlington, PA March 2, 1923, one of five children of the late James Warren and Bertha Elizabeth (Herda) Ward.After graduating from Troy High School, Janet worked as a grocery store clerk while waiting for her sweetheart's return from WWII.On Sept. 18, 1945, she married Carl Duane Terry in Canton.They were blessed with nearly 65 devoted years of marriage and raised two daughters before his passing in 2010.Janet attended the East Canton United Methodist Church and was a member of Canton's V.F.W Auxiliary 714.

Caring for family and home was most important in Janet's life.She was usually busy with a project or interest and especially enjoyed being an avid gardener for many years, reading and cooking.

Surviving are her daughters, Mary Miller Jones (Bill) of Canton and Janet (Lee) Ordway of Apple Valley, CA; three grandsons, Carl (Melissa) Shultz of Hershey, Sean (Olga) Ordway and Lance Ordway all of Apple Valley; great granddaughter, Madison Shultz; many nieces, nephews and cousins; also, special caregiver, Julie Barnes.
In addition to her husband Carl, she was predeceased by four siblings; Dorothy Allie Driesbaugh, Betty Carlson, Clifford and Paul "Dick" Ward; a son-in-law, Joseph R. Miller and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Calling hours are 11 – 12 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, at Pepper Funeral Home & Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Dr, Canton.Rev. Dr. Dianne Bentley will officiate the funeral and committal services after visitation with Jasper Smith assisting.Burial will follow in Park Cemetery.Those who wish may consider a memorial in Mrs. Terry's name to East Canton U.M.
