Janice E. Gustin, 88, of Gillett and former long-time resident of Harrisburg, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon, February 8, 2018 at the Guthrie Towanda Personal Care Home.

Born in Lock Haven, PA on December 18, 1929, Janice was a daughter of the late Grant Harden Jr. and Faye (Rathbager) Gustin.After graduation from Lock Haven High School, she earned a Bachelors of science degree from Penn State University.

Jan enjoyed her career's work as a financial analyst with the PA Dept of Labor and Industry for many years until retiring.She was an engaging, independent lady who told it as she saw it.A special passion of hers was traveling extensively, visiting over 82 countries.
In earlier years Jan loved everything about horses; she became an accomplished equestrian, enjoying dressage and jumping.

Surviving are two aunts; Loretta Gustin and Annis Gustin, several cousins; also special cousins and caregivers, Grant and Cindy Gustin.She was predeceased by aunts and uncles; Frances, Eleanor, Jane, Harold, Richard and James.

Per Janice's wishes, private family services and burial at Glenwood Cemeteryin Troy will be held at a later date.Pepper Funeral Home & Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Dr. in Canton is assisting her family with arrangements.
