Jean B. Wommer, 87, of Canton, Pa. passed away early Saturday morning May 4, 2019 at the Bradford County Manor.

Jean was born July 16, 1931 in Bristol, Pa. On April 4, 1964 she married John Wommer in Elkton, Md. Jean and John moved to the Canton area in 1986 where Jean was employed by Henny Dunn Insurance Company for several years. They also owned and operated the Cold Spring Kennel in Canton where they raised hunting dogs. John preceded Jean in death on November 2, 2007 following 43 years of marriage.

Reading and watching TV, especially Jeopardy, were favorite pastimes. Jean was a kind likable person who was known, just to be a little stubborn at times.

Surviving her are a niece, Michelle Linsenmeier, special friends Mike Kelley, Ann Kelley and Michael Landon all of Canton, special caregivers, Becky Sechrist, Tracy Quackenbush and Lori Cole, several neighbors and dear friends.

In addition to her husband, Jean was predeceased by her mother in law, Elizabeth Wommer.

In keeping with Jean's wishes, there will be no public services. Those who wish may direct memorials in her name to a charity of one's choice. The Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Dr. Canton is assisting with arrangements.
