John Walters Sr., 83, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2026, following a brief illness. Born in Nelson, PA, he was the son of the late Clyde and Norma (Finch) Walters. John graduated from Elkland High School and continued his education at Williamsport Technical School, earning a certificate in drafting. He was employed by PennTroy Machine Shop for several years before retiring twenty years ago.

John is survived by his children: John Jr. (Janette) Walters, Kevin Walters, Michele (Tony) Caprella, and Clinton “CJ” (Becca) Walters; numerous grandchildren; four great‑grandchildren; twin great‑grandsons expected in to arrive in November, siblings, Joanne Stickler of Ogdensburg, NY, and a brother William “Bill” Walters of Westfield, PA, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends, Rufus, Paul, and Maggie Allen and their families.

Besides his parents, John was predeceased by his brother‑in‑law John Stickler; his sister‑in‑law Terri White; his dear friend Ely Allen; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Honoring John’s wishes, there will be no services. Burial will be private. Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility 578 Springbrook Drive Canton, PA is assisting the family with arrangements.
