Joyce (Antes) Caplinger, 88, of Towanda, PA, formerly of York, PA and Middleburg, FL, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at the Guthrie Skilled Nursing Unit in Towanda. Joyce was born July 1, 1935, in Rapho Township in Lancaster County, PA. She was a daughter of the late John and Agnes (Waltz) Antes. On September 5, 1953, Joyce married Robert Caplinger in Mount Joy, Lancaster County. Together they shared 69 years of marriage and raised three children.

Throughout life Joyce's main interest encompassed her home and family.

She leaves behind her children, Jim (Joyce) Caplinger of Manchester, PA, Dave (Jennifer) Caplinger of Towanda and John (Karyl) Caplinger of St. Mary's, GA, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, a sister, Geraldine Zellers of Lancaster County, sister-in-law; Betty Joyce Antes of Lancaster County, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Joyce was predeceased by her husband Robert in July of 2022 her siblings, Gilbert Antes, Goldie Herman, Donald Antes and Phares Antes.

In keeping with Joyce's wishes services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. The Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton is assisting the family with arrangements.
