June Sennert, 95, of Canton, PA, formerly of Toms River, NJ passed away at home on Thursday morning, April 5, 2018.
June Evelyn was born June 1, 1922 in Jersey City, NJ, a daughter of the late Fred andBessie (Youman) Pettet. She was married to Daniel Sennert for 63 years before his passing on Dec. 29, 2003. June will be remembered for her many interests and talents. She was a caring, kind and sensitive person who enjoyed a great sense of humor and was a guiding light to her family. June had an artist's soul and was drawn to photography, drawing, painting and music all her life. As a young woman, June photographed the Hindenburg Airship going down in flames in 1937. Most importantly June loved her family, especially her great-great grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting, knitting and crocheting. She was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are her daughters; June Seluchins of Manahawkin, NJ and Carol Donahay of Canton; 10 grandchildren; Richard (Lisa) Seluchins and David (Christine) Seluchins all of Toms River, NJ, Robert Donahay of Canton, Stephen (Kelly) Donahay of Vancouver, WA, Susan (Mark) Hall of Troy, Tommie (Jimmy) Moyer of Canton, Amie (Dean) Pequignot of Covington, Betsy Lewis of Milton, Amanda Sennert of Washington, DC and Sarah Sennert of Pottstown, 16 great grandchildren; Chloe and Paige Seluchins, Allie and Cricket Ragan, Brittany, Bentley and Daniel Donahay, Ashley (Mark) Matthews, Kara and Mikayla Matson, Emma Moyer, Riley Lewis, Patrick Donahay, Heather, Michael and Austin Pequignot, four great-great grandchildren; Kaydence and Kinsley Matthews, Liam Matson and Lilly Cavanaugh, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband Dan, she was predeceased by her son; Robert Daniel Sennert, siblings; Fred, Marie, Florence, Ida and Harry, also her son-in-law; Andrew Seluchins.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility in Canton is assisting the family with arrangements.
