Kenworthy "Kenny" M.
Spencer
Aug 21, 1955 — May 3, 2026
Towanda
Kenworthy “Kenny” M. Spencer, 70, a lifelong bachelor of Towanda, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at the Towanda Guthrie Personal Care Home with family by his side. Kenworthy Myles was born on August 21, 1955, in Coatesville, PA, a son of the late Jake and Jean (Lord) Spencer.
Kenny played football and wrestled for the Towanda Black Knights in the early to mid‑1970s and graduated with the Class of 1974. Over the years, he worked in the auction business, drove truck, and spent countless hours helping at the Monroeton Rod and Gun Club. He served as president for 13 years, on the board of directors for 4 years, and remained a lifetime member. He was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and a true friend to many. Even as he faced health challenges this past year, he still made time to call or visit the people he cared about.
Surviving Kenny are his siblings: April Davis (Jay) of Myrtle Beach, SC; Roger (Dawn) of New Holland, PA; and Tim (Debi) of Franklindale, PA. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great‑nieces, great‑nephews, and cousins. Kenny was well loved for his smile, his stories, his jokes, and the laughter he carried with him. As his niece Ashley said, if you knew him, you probably have a story about him.
A celebration of Kenny's life will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1408 Buttermilk Falls Road, Towanda, PA 18848. Pepper Funeral Home and Cremation Facility, 578 Springbrook Drive in Canton is assisting the family with arrangements. You’re welcome to share your stories with us, or you might hear one he left behind with someone else. We’ll remember his mischievous smile and unmistakable laugh while you tell a Kenny story. Memories of Kenny and condolences to his family may be shared by visiting www.pepperfuneralhomes.com.
