Larry L. Sullivan Sr., 83, of Gillett, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. Larry L. was born January 28, 1943, in Williamsport, a son of the late Emerson and Louisa (Vargason) Sullivan. On February 3, 1962, he married the love of his life, the former Linda Terry, in Grover. Together they shared 64 years of marriage and raised two children. Larry worked as a machine operator for Kennedy Valve in Elmira, NY, dedicating 30 years to the company until his retirement.
Larry was a gifted craftsman, known for his remarkable wood craftsmanship and the many beautiful pieces he created for others to enjoy. He was also a fantastic and devoted gardener who took pride in the work of his hands. His greatest joy came from time spent with his family, especially the days he looked forward to hunting and fishing with his son and grandsons, teaching them the love of the sport. His peaceful place was always at home, surrounded by family and friends, sharing stories that everyone loved to hear.
Surviving Larry are his loving wife, Linda, at home; his son, Larry Jr. (Michele) Sullivan; his daughter, Kimberly (Benjamin) Bodewes; and his grandchildren, Anthony (Brittney), David (Samantha), Nathan (Natasha), Jarred (Angela), and Jennifer. He also leaves behind his great‑grandchildren, Aria, Rylee, Mason, Alexandria, Coraline, Olive, Valynn, Caleb, Cohen, Kamari, and Arianna; his sister, Marlene Brown; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Besides his parents, Larry was predeceased by siblings; Leo, Thelma, Sheldon, Bernita, Geraldine, Emerson Jr and Alva.
